Quail Valley Marlins Swim Team

Swimming is both an individual sport as well as team effort and parents are as much a part of the team as the swimmer. Come make some new friends and be a part of our team.

A Team

The "A" team swimmers are the swimmers who officially compete and represent the Marlins in the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). They are the three fastest swimmers in each stroke based on previous events times. This means the A-Team is a very fluid set of individuals. Seed times are drawn initially from the time trial at the start of the season and then A and B meet competition times from that point forward. 

B Team

The B team is comprised of all eligible swimmers who did not have qualifying times for the A meets. B meets give the swimmers valuable experience and a chance to see their times improve in a competitive environment throughout the season. B meets do not count for points, are not usually scored, and have no impact on the team standings in MCSL. It is common for swimmers to compete in different events as both A team and B team swimmers. Mini Marlins

New to swimming? Maybe even a new swimmer? Join our Mini Marlins. To qualify for the Mini Marlins all your swimmer has to do is be comfortable in the water and be able to stand (or bob) at the shallow end of the pool ( currently 3.5 feet). Be amazed at what your child can do. A word of caution though, your little swimmer could quickly be swimming in Mini meets, B meets, and A meets. These kids really get their monies worth.
