Welcome To The Quail Valley Marlins Team Website!
The QV Marlins has been a long tradition of fun and competitive swimming in our community. Over the years during the summer break, many swimmers from local high schools have come back to swim for QV Marlins. Some have become coaches. If you look closely, you may notice current and former Marlins working as lifeguards at your local pool or working in and about our community.
For those families who choose to join, we hope you will find a home for your swimmers with our QV Marlins. The team hosts weekly Potlucks during the season where we can get to know one another better. We look forward to seeing you on deck this summer.

Pool Membership
You must be a member of the Quail Valley Pool in order to register your child to swim / practice with the team and every child swimming at the practices MUST be a registered team member. This is due to Quail Valley HOA liability.

QV Marlins is All About Fun!
While competition is healthy, Marlins is more about fun!
The Mini Marlins Program
Our Minis are the future of our team! Younger swimmers who can swim half the length of the pool are encouraged to try out for our Mini Marlins. Children must be comfortable in shallow water alone and be able to submerge their heads and blow bubbles. The Mini Marlin program is designed to increase swimming ability and to teach the fundamentals of the four strokes – freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. The Mini Marlin program however should not be used as a means of obtaining swim lessons. There are just too many children on the team to be able to safely provide individualized attention.Try-outs will be held the first week of Mini practice. It will be the coaches' decision if the swimmer qualifies to join the team. If your child is unable to make the team the registration fees will be refunded.
Family Concession Stand Support Fee
Each family will contribute a one-time fee to be used by the team to purchase food strictly for concession sales at every home meet. (This fee does not apply toward Friday potlucks, the team photo breakfast, or the team banquet, which are team-only events that do not have food sales).
Volunteers
All team parents must volunteer in order for our meets to run smoothly and for our team to have a fun, memorable season. We'll have sign-ups at registration, so bring your calendars!
Restaurant Nights
Fund-raising restaurant nights will be organized with the nearby restaurants, with a percentage of sales going to the QV Marlins - dates and locations to be announced.
